Welcome to Sheffield Homebirth Group!

Sheffield Homebirth Group was first set-up in November 2006 to enable women planning homebirths to meet and support each other. The group has grown considerably since it started and has gained a lot of interest from the women of Sheffield and surrounding areas. The group meet on a regular basis at members homes located across the city (view meeting schedule). We recognise that planning a home birth isn’t always easy and that talking to other people who have given birth at home can be a great confidence boost.

Our Aims

  • Sheffield Homebirth Group believe that women should be the focus of maternity care, and be provided with a service that’s based on their individual choices and needs
  • In partnership with Yoga and Active Birth we aim to inspire, encourage and support an increasing homebirth service in Sheffield and across the UK by organising affordable homebirth conferences for parents and professionals
