Sheffield Homebirth Group

Sheffield Homebirth Group was first set-up in November 2006 to enable parents who have had/are planning home births to meet and support each other. We recognise that planning a home birth isn’t always easy and that talking to other people who have given birth at home can be a great confidence boost. See Local Meetings page for further details.

Our Aims

  • Sheffield Homebirth Group believe that women should be the focus of maternity care, and be provided with a service that’s based on their individual choices and needs
  • In partnership with Yoga and Active Birth we aim to inspire, encourage and support an increasing homebirth service in Sheffield and across the UK by organising affordable home birth conferences for parents and professionals
