Local Meetings
Did you know that planning a home birth means less chance of a caesarean section or assisted birth; baby is more likely to be in better condition at birth, and less likely to need help breathing; you are less likely to haemorrhage or need stitches and more likely to use less pain relief.
Mother to Mother Support
Talking to other women who have had/are planning home births can be a great confidence boost. Whether you’ve had/are planning a home birth, or are simply curious, come along and meet women who have had home births, hear their stories and ask questions. It’s very informal and everybody including partners and children are welcome.
There will be a meeting on 26 August, 19:30-21:30, at Kate Marston’s house, Hunters Bar, Sheffield S11 - if you would like to attend please email: info@sheffieldhomebirth.org.uk for Kate’s address and telephone number.
We can also give you information/support by email: info@sheffieldhomebirth.org.uk or you can join our online group and post messages to other mums who have had/are planning home births in Sheffield - http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/SheffieldHomeBirth/
