Released in the USA in January 2008, it has great relevance to anyone with an interest in childbirth. See www.thebusinessofbeingborn.com for further details and a trailer of the film.
The screening took place at the Showroom, Sheffield, on Saturday 17th May, at 2.00pm,
The film encompassed everything Sheffield Homebirth Group believe about birth and we would highly recommend going to see it.
Mavis Kirkham, Emeritus Professor of Midwifery, Sheffield Hallam University gave a speech before the screening and then led discussion after with lots of interesting and passionate contributions from mothers and midwives.
The screening raised £100 for the Save Independent Midwifery campaign
If you missed this screening please don’t dispair as there are screenings taking place across the UK - for further details see www.saveindependentmidwifery.org
